Vitality Salon Co
The Vision Behind Vitality

Vitality Salon Cooperative was created with a simple purpose: to be a space where both clients and stylists feel supported, valued, and inspired. Built on integrity, education, and genuine community, Vitality is committed to inclusivity at every level — welcoming and caring for every person with the same respect, regardless of gender, identity, or personal style.
Growth is at the heart of our culture. We invest deeply in ongoing education, mentorship, and collaboration so our team can continually elevate their craft and your experience. Vitality also believes in giving back — partnering with local organizations and supporting Sioux Falls artists by showcasing and selling their work in our salon.
At Vitality, creativity, community, and care come together to create a salon experience that feels personal, uplifting, and authentic.

Founder of Vitality Salon Cooperative
Chelsea Munson
Licensed Cosmetologist | Redken-Certified Colorist | Redken Artist | Licensed Esthetician
My heart is people, and my medium is service. I believe confidence begins the moment someone feels truly seen and heard, and my passion is creating a space where clients and stylists alike feel safe, valued, and inspired.
Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, I graduated from Capri College of Cosmetology in 2008, completing 2,100 hours of cosmetology training. In 2012, I returned to earn my Esthetics license, which opened the door to my work in expert skincare and airbrush makeup. These early foundations shaped the holistic, detail-driven approach I bring to everything I do today.
As the founder of Vitality Salon Cooperative in Sioux Falls, I specialize in color transformations and am proud to be both a Redken-Certified Colorist and Redken Educator. Creating beautiful, customized hair is at the core of my work, but mentoring stylists and helping them grow into confident, successful professionals is just as important to me. Education, empowerment, and excellence guide everything I do — both behind the chair and as a salon leader.
Outside of the salon, life is centered around my husband, Drew, our three amazing kids, and our three dogs. Most days include cheering from the bleachers (especially at baseball games), family time, and making meaningful memories — including a dream trip to New York City with my daughter to see Hamilton on Broadway.

Outside the salon, she’s a traveler, dog mom, and matcha fan. If she could only use one hair product forever, it would be shampoo—and her dream celebrity client would be Lady Gaga!

Abby brings creativity to life through her nail art, crafting intricate designs that turn nails into personalized masterpieces. She customizes designs by using clients’ favorite colors, styles, and themes to match their personality.
When she’s not in the salon, she enjoys coffee runs, shopping, and traveling. If she had to pick one product to use forever, it would be dry shampoo. Her dream celebrity client would be Tate McRae!
